This doesn't seem good...

I was setting up a spot in my lab where my students could measure soil pH - and as I took one of the probes out of the box, I noticed little black spots clinging to the side of the storage solution container:

Impressive, since the storage solution has a pH of 4.0. Although perhaps not so much any more...
